Angel Sierra
was one of our father's best friends as well as first home-winemaking
partners. If it wasn't for Angel's influence, the Buoncristiani wine brand
may not have come into fruition and exist today. Rob Buoncristiani (our
father) and Angel Sierra started their home brand Casa Mattina in 1972
and the brothers continued making wine under the guidance of Rob and Angel
at very young ages in the garage. Sadly, Angel passed away in 2010 from
a long battle with cancer and we will always honor him as our Padrino
(Godfather) of wine making. He was full of life, rarely without a smile
(and glass of his home-made wine!), caring, loving, and one of the most
unselfish of people around. Salute Angel, we will truly miss you.... |
