1999 – 2004 Six Year Vertical of Buoncristiani Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

For the November 15th issue of Wine Spectator the editors conducted a retrospective tasting of 1999 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons and our inaugural release of the Buoncristiani Napa Valley Cabernet was ranked among the Top 10, earning 92 Points, and was described as “fresh, intense and vibrant.” In fact, our 1999 Cab scored considerably better than some other well known, and considerably more expensive Napa Cabernets.

James Laube, Sr. Editor for Wine Spectator commented, “What impressed me most, however, about the top-rated bottles from this vintage was the level of concentration, depth and vibrancy still present in the wines. When wines reach this age and show that much vitality, they are good bets to last in your cellar another 10 to 15 years."

We couldn’t agree more. Over the years many people have enquired as to how long our Cabernets will age. We’ve always said easily ten to fifteen years, but, as James Laube points out, our 1999 could easily go another ten years or more.
