The Buoncristiani O.P.C. is our Napa Valley proprietary red blend. In the quest to create a wine uniquely ours, we discovered the synergy of marrying Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah, while also folding in further complexity of texture and flavor with Napa Malbec and Merlot blenders. Grapes are sourced from some of Napa’s most prestigious vineyards including Hyde, Stagecoach, Hossfeld and Bennett. Just like our winemaking fathers before us, with “Ol’ Pa’s Cuvée” we brothers continue the family tradition of handcrafting blends that help accentuate the enjoyment of life.

To ensure our highest standard of quality, the vineyards are managed by growers who adhere to our strict viticultural philosophy and the wines are crafted with our own hands. The components of O.P.C. were harvested and fermented separately in small batches, then carefully blended in several phases during the second year of barrel aging. This 2016 O.P.C. was aged in French oak barrels for 20 months and bottled in June of 2018.

We, the Buoncristiani brothers, take pride in performing all aspects of enology, viticulture, wine production, marketing, and package design in order to share with you a true expression of our winemaking passion.

My favorite wine. Rich, full, and a perfect complement to any meal. Tastes like rubies look.

Great proprietary red wine that we thoroughly enjoy, with or without a meal. One of our favorite wines to enjoy.

My favorite. The balance in this wine gives it incredible range to compliment a great meal or just a cheese plate. It’s priced so it’s approachable as a “go to” bottle and elegant enough to take to any dinner party where compliments on its caliber and beauty will abound.

Great tasting full body, depending on my mood and taste buds, can taste the individual components in the wine.

This is our “go to” wine for family events because of the value we get without sacrificing taste. Great blend that is full bodied but does not overpower the meal.

I have been blessed to drink 14 of the past 16 vintages of OPC (not in order or in that many years), including some well-aged. This is an amazing proprietary blend that I have loved for years. It’s full bodied, and amazingly balanced. IF anyone has a 2014 or 2004 sitting around, I’d love to complete my vertical! This is a family go-to at dinner, and well into the evening as it develops. Don’t tell anyone how well priced this is. It’s ageable and amazing young too. It’s a complex relationship. Do I drink it or do I age it? I say drink and buy more! Never been disappointed and had an amazing opportunity to taste some older vintage with the brother in Napa! Thanks, brothers Buoncristiani!
