We, the Buoncristiani brothers, take pride in performing all aspects of enology, viticulture, wine production, and art design in order to share with you a true expression of our winemaking passion.

To ensure our highest standard of quality, grapes were sourced from vineyards managed by Buoncristiani or from other Napa Valley growers who adhere to our strict viticultural philosophy. This Cabernet Sauvignon was handcrafted from small lots harvested exclusively from hillside vineyards in Howell Mountain and Coombsville, including Ink Grade, Stagecoach, Hossfeld and Richard Bennett Vineyards.  These small batches were kept separate during fermentation, after pressing, and throughout the first year of aging in French oak barrels. During the second year of barrel aging, the components were blended in several phases creating optimum complexity while retaining balance, varietal character, and superior quality. This wine was aged in barrels for 20 months and bottled unfined and unfiltered in June of 2019.

Expect to find deep aromas of cassis, black cherry, incense, dark chocolate, caramelized oak, toffee, and the Buoncristiani signatures of balance, depth on the mid palate, and a lengthy persistent finish. Precise amounts of Malbec were carefully folded into the final blend to add complexity and depth to the profile.  Twenty months aging in 85% new French oak barrels rounded out the palate even further, while adding more texture, aroma and flavor.

Every Cabernet wine lover is looking for a sweet spot where price and quality yield the best killer deal. After tasting and drinking Cabernet from many Napa wineries, I personally feel this is my go-to Cab for $100 -$150 range. Some Cabs maybe a slightly better than this Cab but the price is 2X or 3X more Arthur

This is a Napa cab worth searching for. It shows expressive dark fruit with notes of chocolate and cassis. The tannins are smooth but firm enough to provide good structure. Age worthy, but can be enjoyed in its youth.

My wife and I tried this wine the very first time we visited Napa in 2001. It was the 1999 vintage and we have loved it ever since. We still have some 1999 and today it is still a spectacular wine! The vertical from 1999-2017 is one of the favorites in our entire wine collection. You will never be disappointed with this wine; quite the contrary you will be impressed and delighted with the complexity and depth of the Buoncristiani Cabernet.

We learned about Buoncristiani through friends. We chose to join the Fratelli Club. I am so glad that we did. The other night, we opened the 2017 Buoncristiani Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with friends and introduced them to the wine. The quality is exceptional. We look forward to trying more Buoncristiani wine and becoming lifelong followers of this exceptional brand.

Buoncristiani makes fantastic red wines including the 2017 cab. My wife just experienced a zoom wine tasting with three of the brothers which was very informative and interesting. These tastings are also available for small groups.
